All Local Authorities in the Lake Victoria Region are eligible for full membership of LVRLAC.
Associate membership of LVRLAC is open to any co-operation, Authority, organisation and individual that is interested in promoting for public benefit, use of Lake Victoria Resources, but do not meet conditions for full membership as stated above.
Today, LVRLAC has a membership of 62 Local Authorities in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Contacts have been made with the governments of Burundi and Rwanda, and the intention is to incorporate local authorities from these countries in the future.
Associate membership is also extended to institutions and organizations in the East African region.
Full Membeship Fee: US $ 1,500 (Paid once)
Annual Subscriptions:
- District/City councils: US $ 500 p.a.
- Municipal councils: US $ 400 p.a.
- Town councils/Divisions: US $ 300 p.a.
